There is no other procedure on the market, which can offer the same results with no side effects or risks, often associated with this type of treatment.
Face2Face offers 'Veinwave' - technique which utilises a process known as Thermo-coagulation and which has proven highly successful in the permanent removal of Vascular Blotches and Thread Veins.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The medical principle is based on the action of a very high, uni-polar frequency wave (4MHZ), which produces a very rapid 'burst' of heat within the broken capillary itself.
The energy produced destroys the vein selectively and very safely causing it to dry up instantly whilst leaving the surrounding skin, undamaged. The treatment is intense and will result in the vein wall ‘sticking’ together with no risk of it being filled up with blood once the procedure has been completed.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
The high frequency ‘microwave’ is introduced to the broken capillary via an ultra-fine needle. The needle is insulated so that the surrounding area will not be damaged and the instrument itself is so fine that your therapist can work very precisely with almost no skin disruption.
IS IT PERMANENT?
Yes. The vein, which has been selectively destroyed, cannot fill up with blood once the intense heat has sealed it. Some patients may find that, due to their natural propensity toward broken capillaries, others may over a period of time, develop elsewhere. We have no control over these additional veins.
IS IT PAINFUL?
This is entirely dependent on the individual! Whilst working with thread veins on the cheeks, neck or chin for instance, the sensation could be described as ‘Painless to Uncomfortable’. When working with veins on or inside the nose the level of discomfort will increase substantially. We recommend those patients with veins in this area or who have a low pain threshold take Paracetemol before coming for your initial treatment.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
The good news is that we only take 15 minutes (aprox) to do your treatment. The vast majority of patients will have most of their broken capillaries removed during this session. We would require an extra half-hour for your consultation.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The majority of patients will need 2-3 treatments. In severe cases it may take more.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
If you have a mild case of broken veins we can eradicate them completely in one session and you will leave without them! However, severe cases may take several sessions. The final result will be complete eradication!
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Two treatments will cost £150 -£200. Third and consecutive treatments will cost £50.
WHAT ARE THE AFTER EFFECTS?
- There will be a general reddening of the area, which will disappear after an hour or so.
- There may be slight swelling in the area, which will settle within 48 hours.
- There will be micro scabbing which will appear as tiny ‘scratches’ but will disappear with in one – two weeks.
- There is no long-term side effects known.
CAN EVERYONE HAVE THIS TREATMENT?
This treatment is suitable for most patients. There are some contra indications, which we will discuss with you during your consultation, however sufferers of these conditions are in the minority.
WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY TREATMENT?
- Do not exfoliate
- Do not sunbathe
- Do not have any steam baths or saunas
- Avoid drastic changes in temperature
- If you experience 'micro scabbing' do not pick or rub the area
- You may apply makeup over the area immediately
